Join ARES

As a member of Skagit County ARES, you will be able to help your community by using your Amateur Radio equipment to assist during emergency events. If you would like to become a member of Skagit County ARES, please download and complete the ARES Registration Form. Once you submit your ARES Registration Form, you will be added to the list of ARES members for Skagit County. Your completed ARES Registration Form can be sent via email to KF7CFR@gmail.com.

In order to participate in emergency events that are managed by the Skagit County Department of Emergency Management, you must apply for and be granted an Emergency Worker Card. For more information concerning the Skagit County Emergency Worker Program, please click HERE. If you would like to obtain an Emergency Worker Card from Skagit County, you must complete and submit the Skagit DEM Emergency Worker Volunteer Application. As an ARES member and a holder of an Emergency Worker Card, you can participate as a member of the Skagit County Auxiliary Communications Service (ACS). In order to participate with ACS, you can complete and submit the ACS Supplemental Application. For information about ACS, contact Chris Davis KB7CX.
